Yes - you are reading those genetics correctly... Moses is truly a one of a kind colt.  There is no other with these genetics in the Gypsy breed at this time.  He is homozygous for Black, Agouti, Cream and Silver... and has a single copy of Dun and Tobiano.  At minimum he will always produce a Silver Buckskin or Silver Dunskin.  That is minimum, from a solid black mare.  What is even better than this... YOU do not have to sacrifice any quality for the color.  This boy is heavy, correct, big and moves like the well conformed colt he is.  His bloodlines speak for themselves and he is truly a fantastic gem.

You may notice the sire & dam are related through their dam.  This was a deliberate line breed by his breeder after carefully reviewing the DNA markers on both sire & dam in relation to the genetics given to each by the common dam.  Many of the best horses in each breed are created through this type of breeding to lay down a specific Type.  This is common overseas in the foundation of this breed and at times is necessary to help offset the immense amount of low quality Gypsy currently on the market... those of pretty color, but lacking bone and feather and even temperament.

Moses is not the colt for the average breeder, or the owner looking for a nice little riding partner.  He is the combination of a solid bloodline that has been proven to produce proper Gypsy Vanner with incredible temperament.  Combined with the one of a kind genetics that he brings to the table, he is an investment in the future of a program or the foundation of which to build one on.  With his genetics, build and bloodlines, this should be a colt that can be developed into a fantastic show/riding or breeding stallion.  His genetics will likely be sought out by mare owners looking to improve and add color.

There is a lot of debate about the Silver gene - and often other dilution genes as well.  Dilution genes often affect eyes and ears - pigmentation, as dilution genes - dilute.  Moses has had his eyes examined by an Ophthalmologist at Texas A&M, and while the expected ocular abnormalities are present (minor iris dilution), his vision is not affected.
